Welcome to the archive of the IMBY project.  From 2005 to 2011 IMBY was - the award-winning gardening website!

The IMBY project sought to inspire everyone to grow at least a few vegetables in their own backyard.  We especially want to inspire children to become backyard gardeners.

The site is retained at present.  You are welcome to use the ideas from the seed in your projects to encourage children into backyard gardening.

We gave away special "pocket money seeds", provided healthy FUNdraising for schools, gave talks at gardening and environment expos, and ran garden trials at our local Resource Recovery Centre, but most importantly encouraged backyard vegetable gardens, including our own.

Please explore the IMBY site.  Like all gardeners, I am proud of my efforts and am always happy to share "cuttings" from the IMBY garden.  Think of the ideas here as seeds, to be taken and grown in other gardens.
