Help your children (and perhaps even yourself) discover the joys and benefits of growing and harvesting fresh vegetables at home.

Pocket Money Beans provide motivation to kids to grow beans.  They grow them, you buy them!

And even if you have no space for a garden, for less than five dollars you can help your child make an instant garden.

Growing vegetables teaches patience, consistency and reward.  Help your child understand that they must nurture their garden regularly.  If they forget to water the plants they will die (and you have to start all over again).

Let them grow some beans to completion and then they can harvest the seeds.  See the cycle of life that they have helped to complete.

In our risk adverse society there are very few dangers in a small garden.  Keep seeds out of reach of babies who may stick them up their nose.  Wear gloves and wash hands after gardening.
